When making
wines is part of the history…. We go back to 1882 when
Achille Ferrari, belonging to one of the most well known families
of wine producers from Piacenza, started out his own activity.
Since then, time went by, bringing new generations and big
technological changes, until the biggest event for the Company
improvement: the beginning of the cooperation between the
families Ferrari and Perini that led to the foundation, in
1952, of the Cantine Quattro Valli. What, until then, it had
mostly been an artisan activity was going to become a real
prestigious Company that gained an increasing popularity either
local or national. The main choice that better characterize
the Company mission, and that is also recalled in the name
(Quattro Valli means four valleys), is the capacity to keep
the local tradition alive by producing, in the best possible
way, the typical wines of the Piacenza hills. Nowadays Cantine
Quattro Valli makes typical wines by using grapes that come
mainly from their own vineyards but also from small selected
producers strictly located in the Piacenza hills which is
a territory particularly fruitful and suitable for the grape
growing; territory that can really offer a high level of oenological
production.
