Following the philosophy of diversifying
the wine offer and increase the range of products Cantine
Quattro Valli created, in 2006, the Peppino Colombo
Selection. The name comes from Giuseppe (Peppino)
Colombo who, by the way, is the actual President of the Consorzio
Selezione Vini Italiani. Thank to a good friendship and a
traditional and consolidated good cooperation between Peppino
Colombo and the families Ferrari and Perini, they decided
together to take advantage of the modern technology and facility
of Cantine Quattro Valli for aging and bottling the excellent
Colombo wines in the best way. He still manage two important
phases: selecting the grapes as well as taking care of the
vinification in the area of production; the wines are then
aged and bottled in Piacenza at Cantine Quattro Valli. The
wines come mainly from Puglia and Abbruzzi with the exception
of a very good Prosecco and, thanks to their great quality
matched to a very competitive price, the wines of the Colombo
Selection soon became very successful especially in the US
market.
